The Better Half of Flyfishing
The Better Half of Flyfishing, encompasses two contrasting aspects of the sport. First, it is the female angler, particularly if she represents the 'other half' of a couple that boasts a male fisherman— it is left up to the reader to determine who is actually ‘the better half.’ Second, the female perspective of flyfishing often focuses beyond the catch, centering on the spiritual side of this exhilarating endeavor. From a woman's perspective, flyfishing provides a quest to be attained more than a task to be mastered. Flyfishing is much like the journey of life.

Just a Thought....
Why is it so difficult to figure out what someone is really thinking? It appears that it is too much to ask that we be forthright, open and honest with each other? We can often sense when something is not quite right, emotions are out of kilter, someone is bent out of shape. But we struggle to wonder, is it us? Is it them? Or something totally unrelated? Or maybe our read is way off base and our imaginations convince us that we must be to blame for an egregious transgression.
Have you noticed how a dog's tail so easily portrays its underlying emotion? No masking. No deception. Wagging like a fast-paced metronome--happy to see you. Down between its legs--afraid or hurt. Standing tall--alert. Bristled--reading to defend its territory. You get the picture. Perhaps life would be a tad simpler if we humans had tails.
